Obituary of Richard Earl Bishop

Richard Earl Bishop, 73, of Simpsonville, passed away on Tuesday August 14, 2018. Born in Conestee on August 29, 1944, he was the son of the late Willie and Evie Bishop and the husband of the late Linda Bishop. He was a US Army veteran, where he served in the Vietnam War. He was a mason and a shriner, and he retired as a welder from B&L Mechanical.

 

Richard is survived by his sons, Joey Bishop and Richie Bishop; a daughter, Joan Rodriguez; sisters, Jo Ann Powell, Cathy Dunn, Nettie Craft, and Gladys Edmonds; as well as three grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, JB Bishop and Odell Bishop; and three sisters, Joyce Bishop, Eunice Moon, and Willie Ruth Riddle.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, August 18th at Fletcher Funeral Service, with Rev. Eddie Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Cannon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service, beginning at 12pm.
