Obituary of Charles Edward Beyer

Charles “Charlie” Edward Beyer, 92, husband of Joan Walsh Beyer, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

Mr. Beyer was born in Bloomfield, NJ to the late Charles Julius Beyer and Ruth Oehler Beyer.  He was a WWII Navy veteran who loved his country.  He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Spirit Assembly with a 4^th degree.  Charlie loved being active and creative and working with his hands by building birdhouses and working in the yard.  He always wanted to be productive and never feel like a day was wasted.  He loved his family, life, and people, but most of all, his bride.

Surviving, in addition to his wife are a son, Gary Beyer; a daughter, Karen Cooper; three grandchildren, Kristen Meyer (Mahlon), Kourtney Burgher (Warren) and Andrew Cooper (Tina); four great-grandchildren, Leigha Meyer, Joshua Meyer, Tyler Burgher and Madisyn Burgher and a brother, Robert Beyer.  He was predeceased by a sister, Doris Johnson.

A celebration of Charlie’s life, with Military Honors, will be 10am Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Church.
