Obituary of Deloris Glynn White

Deloris Glynn Stroud Ziegler White, 77, widow of Curtis Arnold White, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

Mrs. White was born in Hazelhurst, GA to the late Joseph Neal Stroud and Cora Elizabeth Brewer Stroud.  She retired from C&T Manufacturing and attended Todd Memorial Presbyterian Church.  Deloris enjoyed sewing and crocheting, making many of her own patterns.  Her greatest joy came in being “Granny” to her grandbabies.

 

Surviving are a son, Greg Ziegler and wife Sharon; two daughters, Ann Vaughn and husband Lee, and Sandra Armstrong; three sisters, Weezie Schultz, Willie Mosley and husband O.B., and Jean Kinard and husband Clyburn; six grandchildren, Jimmy Vaughn (Kristy), DeeDee Vaughn, CJ Armstrong (Shelley), Leigh Anne Ziegler (Maddie), Daniel Ziegler, and Heidi Ziegler; and four great-grandchildren, Peighton Vaughn, Thomas Vaughn, Reagan Reynolds, and Jordan Reynolds.  She was predeceased by her first husband, James Leverette “Jimmy” Ziegler; two brothers, Robin Stroud and Aubrey Stroud; and a sister, Margaret Mercer.

 

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Todd Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Herb Codington.  Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

 

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 301 University Ridge, Greenville, SC 29601.

 

The family is at the home of Lee and Ann Vaughn, 2268 Hellams Road, Gray Court, SC 29645.
