Obituary of Erica Leigh Chapman

Erica Leigh Chapman, 32, of Greenville, South Carolina is the daughter of Chet Chapman and Sharon Moore Chapman (of Simpsonville, South Carolina). Erica passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019, at 5:03 pm.

Ms. Chapman was born in Stuttgart, Germany.  She enjoyed hiking, cycling, art, and gymnastics.  Erica truly enjoyed helping others, and was as beautiful, or more beautiful on the inside, as she was on the outside.  She worked mostly in office management, veterinary hospitals, and was five credits away from attaining her Bachelors Degree in Paralegal Studies, at Liberty University.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a sister, Virginia Marie Chapman, of Sacramento, California; a paternal grandfather, Curtis L. Chapman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Aunt Sally, Aunt Lynn, Aunt Donna, and Aunt Carol, from northern Virginia survive on Erica’s father’s side. Aunt Casey and Uncle David, both of Savannah, Georgia, survive on Erica’s mother’s side. Erica has left behind numerous cousins, friends, both old and new, from all over the world. Mr. Chapman (Erica’s father) is a retired US Army Veteran, so the Chapman family traveled all over the world during Erica’s childhood.

A Celebration of Erica’s Life will be 6:30p.m. Monday at Fletcher Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
