Obituary of William Harold Neal

William Harold Neal, 69, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 25, 2019.

Mr. Neal was born in Spartanburg to Mary Frances Cantrell Neal and the late William Lunsford Neal Jr.  He worked many years at Teachey Mechanical and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  William enjoyed baseball, vintage motorcycles, flea markets, and reading his bible.  He was a huge Clemson fan, and he enjoyed being “Pops” to his grandkids.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two daughters, Heather Poston, and Casey Abercrombie and her husband Kyle; three brothers, Voddy Neal, Frank Neal and wife Renee, and William “Trey” Neal; four sisters, Janice Neal, Kathy Hicks and husband Raymond, Lisa Hall and husband Jeff, and Katie Neal; and six grandchildren, Trevor Poston, Chloe Edwards, Matthew Poston, Jacob Edwards, Hayley Abercrombie and Jackson Abercrombie.  He was predeceased by a brother, Stevie Neal.

A Celebration of William’s Life will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Brian Humphries.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
