Obituary of Caryn Coggins Kemp

Caryn Deanna Coggins Kemp, 54, wife of Richard Wayne “Rick” Kemp, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

Mrs. Kemp was born in Greenville to Carolyn Patricia Gilstrap Smith and the late Larry James Coggins.  She retired from Graceland Mortuary and was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.  Caryn loved music and music trivia.  She sang in the choir and sang solo’s as well.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and mother, are a son, Bradley Kemp; and three grandchildren, Connor Stone, Colin Stone and Caleb Stone.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Stone.

A Celebration of Caryn’s Life will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Hampton Heights Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Gene Ownbey.  The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
