Obituary of Lee Lamar Woods

Lee Lamar Woods, 84, husband of the late Louise Lyda Williams Woods, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 19, 2019. Mr. Woods was born in Greenville to the late John Luther Woods and Evelyn Sims Woods. He retired as the owner and operator of Lamar Woods Landscaping. He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army. Lamar loved growing a garden and sold Christmas Trees for many years. He enjoyed going to the Yum-Yum Shop and was a huge John Deere fan. Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Woods; two step-sons and their wives, James and Linda Williams, and Doyle and Linda Williams; a sister, Thelma McCurry; two grandsons, Kevin Boniface and Justin Boniface; and two great-grandchildren, Jase Boniface and Josie Boniface. He was predeceased by three brothers, Harley Woods, Truman Woods and John Earl Woods; and two sisters, Odessa Hughes and Joann Land. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Funeral services, with Military Honors, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Dan Green. Memorials may be made to Martha Franks Retirement Center, 1 Martha Franks Drive, Laurens, SC 29360.
