Obituary of Carolyn Rose Littlefield Marlar

Carolyn Rose Littlefield Marlar, 90, widow of Gerald Willis Marlar, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 3, 2016. Mrs. Marlar was born July 21, 1926 in Woodruff to the late Lionel Dacre Littlefield and Louise Chumley Littlefield. Rose retired as a school teacher at Fountain Inn Elementary. She was an alumna of Anderson and Winthrop College, a member of the Fountain Inn Music Club, a member of SC Alpha Delta Kappa (Fidelis Alpha Chapter), a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was active in children’s programs and taught Sunday school. Surviving are a daughter, Susan Hendrix and husband Don; a granddaughter, Ashley McCrory and husband Mike; three great-grandsons, Charlie, Walker and Dalton McCrory; and a sister, Lucy Williams. She was predeceased by a brother, George Littlefield and a sister, Grace Jordan. Funeral Services will be 3pm Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Cannon Memorial Park. We would like to thank all of her friends and neighbors from the Inn Circle neighborhood for their many acts of kindness and friendship. We wish to also acknowledge and thank three special caregivers, Conni Holcomb, Donna Smith, and Tammy Pyles. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 403 S.
