Obituary of James Broadus Farrow

James B. “Jim” Farrow, 88, husband of Ann Merrill Farrow for 30 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Mr. Farrow was born in Fountain Inn to the late Robert Lewis “Bob” Farrow and Eva Beth Graydon Farrow. He retired from W.R. Grace/Cryovac and was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jim enjoyed working in the yard and was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves and NASCAR. He attended almost all of his grandchildren’s ball games and was proud to be their “PaPa”. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Dale Farrow and wife Sharon, and Rev. Josh Powers and wife Vanessa; a daughter, Amy Bartley and husband Dacus; a brother, Billy Farrow; and five grandchildren, Breanna Bartley, Cory Bartley, Cole Bartley, J.R. Powers and Tori Powers. He was predeceased by his first wife, Billie Coker Farrow; and a sister, Margaret Redd. Funeral services will be 2 o’clock Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Jim Spencer. Entombment, with Military Honors, will be in the mausoleum at Cannon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff of Interim Hospice for the wonderful care given to Jim during his final months with us.
