I’m Mike Smith, I worked with Fred at UPS. I was his supervisor and I remember training
Freddy as a driver in 1980. I remember helping him get promoted into
Management. He was a great person and a dear friend. I haven’t seen Fred
In 35 yrs but we had great time working together. Rest In Peace dear
Friend. See you on the other side.

Ronda and family, I am very sorry for your loss. Fredd was such a great colleague and friend. I always looked forward to my trips to adidas to see him or just to speak with him on the phone. He always had a positive attitude and was a genuine person. I am thankful to have known him and to have met you last year. He will be missed!

Fredd will remain in my heart forever.
What started as a just a manager, clerk relationship grew into a brother, sister relationship.
Fredd has always been there for me not only in good times but also during difficult times of my life.
I could talk to Fredd about anything.
He is a great listener and when you talked with him you better be ready to hear what he had to say because he was going to say it whether you wanted to hear it or not and that is what got me through the years.
Fredd helped me to understand and accept the way people are and not to judge them by their cover because you never know what is going on in their own lives BUT not to allow anyone to treat me any less!
As we all know Fredd knew how to have fun but even more he cared very deeply about family & friends.
Whenever Fredd mentioned his parents he spoke of them with great appreciation, respect, and love.
He is a proud Son for sure.
Fredd's life began the day he met his wife Ronda and her children Sonya, Ryan, Stephanie, and Austin.
At that time Fredd was my immediate manager and we spoke over the phone multiple times a day for many years.
I remember like it was yesterday, there was clearly something different about Fredd.
Fredd met his soul mate who is a fun-loving, great sense of humor, smart, beautiful woman.
I loved talking with him every day and hearing about his new life with Ronda and the kids.
I got great enjoyment out of listening to Fredd as a new parent, It made my day.
We all know that it takes a lot of love and patience to be a parent and that was what Fredd needed in his life and he truly loved being a father and a grandfather.
Thank you Ronda and family for taking great care of Fredd and for all the love and fun you brought to him.
I will continue to keep Fredd's memory alive!
I am so grateful to have him in my life and I will continue to talk with him in heaven, I know he is listening!
I will miss you, Cheers Fredd!
Love you, mean it!

Ronda, I was fortunate enough to meet both you and Fredd through his work. He was always the consummate professional and did everything with a smile and a good word. I had the great pleasure to meet you on a few occasions as well and I am proud to call you both friends.
Fredd fought an unbelievable battle and is in a much better place now. It was obvious you were both very much in love!
Rest in Peace my friend....you will be missed.

I worked with Fred at adidas. I didn't really get to know him until we had a "social day" at the office. We enjoyed drinks and a spirited game of cornhole. He sandbagged me bad, lol. Wonderful man, so knowledgeable in his field, and an asset to adidas. We miss him. God bless all his family and friends during this time.

Ronda, Nana and Papa, I am so so very sorry for losing Freddy. It leaves a void in your hearts. I have known the Lancaster family for 46 years and still love them now. Freddy was a good husband, son, friend, father and the best brother in law ever. He was always smiling, happy and kind. Lean on the Lord as you have every day. I'm so glad he found his soulmate and such a wonderful wife. Ronda, I hope you can get some rest as
this is a difficult time. I love all 3 of you. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort in knowing he is finally free.

Freddie was a special guy. In high school, he was the cute football player that everyone loved because he was kind and always smiling. I never saw Fredd that he didn’t greet me with a hug and ask about me and my family. He truly cared for so many people. Once I called Fredd seeking help for a student needing a job. Before the end of the day, Fredd called me to say he had a position for my student. A few years later, Fredd randomly called to ask about that student. He said he was praying for him. All that time passed and Fredd was still praying for a kid he never met. That’s just the kind of guy I knew Fredd to be. He fought a hard battle against this nasty disease. And when he walked into the presence of Jesus, Fredd finally won that battle. Jeff & I will miss him but celebrate his healing and look forward to the day when we join him at the feet of Jesus. We love you Ronda and are praying for all of you.

Freddy was my stepfather but I called him Freddy-Daddy because he was a father to me when he married my mother. He was always here for me no matter what time of day or night, whenever I needed him he was there. He was a great man and a wonderful role model. When he and my mother married, she finally got the prince she had always deserved! Once on a flight home from Vegas I had the worst flight experience of my life, we hit horrible turbulence on the way into Charlotte NC (layover), I called Freddy and told him I was too scared to get on the connecting flight back to Greenville SC, it had to be 4:00am but he didnt complain. Freddy jumped in the car and drove to Charlotte NC to come and get me. He was a great man, a great husband to my Mom, and an amazing father to me! He is missed dearly by those who knew him! Rest in Peace Freddy-Daddy! I love you always!
Love your daughter,
Sonya James
