Obituary of Charles S Cox, Jr.

Charles Shuford Cox, Jr., 80, husband of Faye Eskew Cox for 57 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. Mr. Cox was born in Greenville, SC to the late Charles Shuford Cox, Sr. and Etta Blanche Skelton Cox. Charles loved his family and farming. He was the owner of Cox Angus Farm in Pelzer and member of the Greenville and Laurens County Cattle Association. Surviving in addition to his wife are, a daughter, Susan Cox McCall and her husband Billy; a sister, Beverly Baxley and her husband Sid; four grandchildren, Hannah Childress and her husband Austin, Caroline Thompson, Andrew McCall and his wife McKenzie, and Alex McCall; four great-grandchildren, Laura Childress, Peyton Childress, Kaitlyn McAbee and Addison McAbee. He was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Dean Thompson. The family will receive friends 1-3 pm Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Graveside will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens at 3:30 pm officiated by Rev. John Cox.
