Obituary of Rollins Woodrow Bayne

Rollins Woodrow Bayne, 96, husband of Katherine McWhite Bayne for 77 years, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020. Mr. Bayne was born in Greenville to the late Thomas Monroe Bayne and Frankie Cleveland Nabors Bayne. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army and a member of West Gantt Baptist Church. He worked at Associated Transportation and Leeway Trucking. Rollins was a former corrections officer with the SC Department of Corrections. Lastly, he worked at American Federal. Rollins was the last surviving member of his family. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Donnie Bayne and Billie Rhodes; two grandchildren, Paige Lockaby and Frankie Rhodes (Derek); four great-grandchildren, Shelby Harrison (Mikie), Dakota Looper, William Laffin and Andrew Laffin; and three great-great grandchildren, Luke Beckwith, Gaven Harrison and Ryland Harrison. He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. Friends may visit between 9-10 am on Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Graveside services, with military honors, will be 11 am Saturday at Graceland East Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Marshall Fagg.
