Jack David Foster, 90, husband of Margaret Thackston Foster for 65 years, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 15, 2020. Mr. Foster was born in Buncombe County, NC to the late William Leon and Annie Ruth Hellams Foster. He was a lifelong member of Standing Springs Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Army. Jack was a hard worker who worked at Cryovac for 37 ½ years and he loved tinkering in the garage. His favorite pastime was sitting on the porch with “Nannie”. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Kathy Phillips (Mike), Jackie Anderson (David) and Linda Foster; ten grandchildren, Ryan Watson (Jennifer), Jessica Lanae Powers (Patrick), Andrew Phillips, Corbin Estes (Jessica Edwards), Harrison Estes, Brian Anderson (Jennifer), Lauren Walker (Jonathan), Kyle Anderson (Corrie), Katelin Edwards and Jacob Kimble and seven great-grandchildren, Cooper and Samantha Watson, Henley Powers, Harper Grace Estes, Luke and Colton Anderson and Caroline Marie Walker. He was predeceased by a brother, William Foster and a sister, Dorothy Steele. Funeral Services will be 2:30pm Sunday at Standing Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
