Obituary of Dewey Randolph Gossett

Dewey Randolph Gossett, 80, husband of Gayle Pinson Gossett for 59 years, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 17, 2020. Mr. Gossett was born in Greenville to Raymond Randolph Gossett and Lavada Lazel Reaves Gossett. He was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church and the founder of Gossett’s Garage and Towing Service. He was a HEJAZ Shriner and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #251. He was a past Worshipful Master of Masonic Lodge and also the Scottish Rites in Greenville and Charleston. Dewey never met a stranger. One of his favorite pastimes was hanging out with the guys at Kellett’s Korner and was a fan of the Clemson Tigers. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Tony Gossett; a daughter, Terri Anders; a brother, Jimmy Gossett and wife Sheryl; a sister, Reubina Goss and husband Blaine; two granddaughters, Brittney Taylor and Jalen Anders; and two great-granddaughters, Jasmyn Woodruff and Jaclyn Anders. Friends are welcome for viewing or registering at Fletcher Funeral Service on Thursday from 2 o’clock until 6 o’clock, and on Friday from 9 o’clock until 1 o’clock. A private family service will be held at 3 o’clock Friday at Graceland East Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Mauldin First Baptist Church, 150 S. Main Street, Mauldin, SC 29662.
