Obituary of Alice Ricketts Copelan

Alice Eudotsy Ricketts Copelan, 81, wife of Tommy Ronald Copelan, Sr. went to be with the Lord, Monday, October 5, 2020. Mrs. Copelan was born in Abbeville County to the late Clarence and Ruby Adams Ricketts. She was a member of Durbin Creek Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She was an avid basketball player, Valedictorian of her class and sang in the Jubilee Trio. Surviving, in addition to her husband are, four sons, Phil Copelan and wife Donna, Bob Copelan and wife Kim, Greg Saxon and wife Angela and Tom Copelan and wife Ginger; two daughters, Rhonda Thorpe and husband Mitchell and Robin Tate and husband Barry; four brothers, Larry, Roger, Kenneth and Tony Ricketts; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandchild; a brother, Clarence Ricketts, Jr. and three sisters, JoAnn Wilson, Sybil Shirley and Shirley Sanders. A Celebration of Life will be 6pm Friday, October 9th at Fletcher Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
