Cleveland Noel, Jr., age 93, husband of 68 years to the late Ann McKillop Noel, went peacefully to his heavenly home on November 30, 2020. He was surrounded by the love of family in his NC home.
Mr. Noel was the son of the late Cleveland Noel, Sr. and Mary Bessie Phillips Noel of Richmond, Virginia. He was an accomplished businessman, devoted husband and father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his four children: sons, Roger Noel (wife Mary Ann), Stephen Noel (wife Jennifer); daughters, Denise Born (husband Mark), and Carol McIntire (husband Barney). He is also survived by his brother Frank Andrews (wife Kathryn) of Culpeper, Virginia. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Noel graduated with a BS degree in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary and also pursued graduate studies at the University of Richmond and Richmond Polytechnic Institute in Virginia.
He was active for many years in his church, served in the US Army, and worked for the C.F. Sauer Company for nearly 45 years. During his time with the C.F. Sauer Co., he held the following positions: Chemist, Manager, Director of Product Development and Quality, and Vice President of Product Development and Quality Control. He also worked as a Quality Consultant in the U.S. and to South American companies. He was an active member of the Rotary Club and member and officer of numerous food industry associations. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award for The South Carolina Food Industry Association and The Association of Dressings and Sauces. He loved golf, gardening, and spending time with his family.

A small family graveside gathering will be held at Graceland East Memorial Park on Sunday, December 6th, and a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held in the coming year.
