LLOYD WILSON ELLIOTT WENT TO HIS HEAVENLY HOME ON DECEMBER 15TH, 2020 AFTER AN EXTENDED ILLNESS. HE WAS SURROUNDED BY HIS LOVING FAMILY. LLOYD WAS BORN IN OLD FORT, NC. HE GRADUATED FROM OLD FORT HIGH SCHOOL AND FROM N.C. STATE WITH AN ENGINEERING DEGREE. PRIOR TO HIS PROFESSIONAL CAREER AS A PRODUCT MANAGER WITH KEMET ELECTRONICS, WHERE HE RETIRED IN 1996, HE SERVED IN THE US ARMY. HE WAS A CORPORAL IN THE 61ST INFANTRY REGIMENT 8TH INFANTRY DIVISION STATIONED AT FORT CARSON, COLORADO. HE WAS A DECORATED SOLDIER AND KNOWN FOR HIS EXCELLENT MARKSMAN SKILLS. HE WAS PREDECEASED BY HIS MOTHER DONNA ELLIOTT BJORKLAND, HIS FATHER JOHNSON ELLIOTT AND HIS FIRST WIFE MARGARET ELLIOTT. SURVIVING ARE HIS WIFE, PEGGY JAMES ELLIOTT, WITH WHOM HE SHARED FOURTEEN WONDERFUL YEARS OF DEVOTION. KATHY JAMES BLACKWELL, TAMMY JAMES QUINN, DAVID SCOTT ELLIOTT, BAILEY BLACKWELL. SISTER JOHNSIE SMITH (RONNIE) STEPBROTHER CURLY ELLIOTT, (MARILYN). LLOYD ENJOYED HUNTING, GOLFING AND TRAVELING. HE WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE TRAVELED EXTENSIVELY IN THE US AND ABROAD. LLOYD ALSO LOVED THE LORD AND TAUGHT SUNDAY SCHOOL AT FT. INN FIRST BAPTIST UNTIL HIS ILLNESS. LLOYD HAD A QUIET AND KIND DEMEANOR AND WAS LOVED BY MANY. HE HAD A GENUINE CARING HEART FOR PEOPLE AND HELPED MANY ALONG THE WAY. FUNERAL SERVICES WITH MILITARY HONORS WILL BE HELD 2PM THURSDAY IN THE MAUSOLEUM CHAPEL AT GRACELAND EAST MEMORIAL PARK OFFICIATED BY DR. CONDY RICHARDSON.
