

Obituary of Parker Chapman
Parker W. Chapman, husband of Mary Ann Ayers Chapman, died December 5, 2016.
He was born in Pickens County to the late Roy and Verona Anthony Chapman. He was the co-owner for forty years of B&C Plumbing Co. and a veteran of the US Navy who served in WWII onboard a mine sweeper in the Pacific.
Surviving are a son, Bruce Ayers (Cindy); grandchildren, Tam Ayers (Kelsey) and Allie Ayers; a daughter, Lisa C. Carter (Charlie); grandchildren, Trey (Nicole), Lindsey Sebastian (Joaquin); great-grandchildren, Logan, Mack and Charlie Carter; a son and family, John Bowers (Angie), Austin, Sean, and Nathan; additional granddaughter, Dr. Elizabeth Bowers; grandson, J.P.; great-grandsons, Parker and Calieb; a brother, Fred A. Chapman and sisters, Frances C. Campbell and Janie C. Taylor. He was predeceased by a son, Eddie Bowers; a brother, Wayne H. Chapman and a sister, Ann B. Garrett.
He was a special uncle to nephews and nieces. The family expresses sincere appreciation for the special care at McCall Hospice House and PW’s angel for over 2 years, Stephanie Butler.
The family will receive friends 10:45-11:45am Thursday, December 8th at Reedy Fork Baptist Church. The service will follow at 12pm. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
