Obituary of James Morgan Long, Sr.

James Morgan Long Sr., 95, husband of the late Aileen Jeanette Leach Long, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 27, 2020. Mr. Long was born in Morristown, TN to the late Thomas A. Long and Lena Mae Goan Long. He was a WWII and Korean War veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and proudly served with the 465th Bombardment Group between 1943-1945. He was a member of Fellowship Presbyterian Church and retired from Equifax. Surviving are three sons, Tommy Long and wife Kathy, Steve Long, and Billy Long; a brother, Joe Long and wife Charlotte; three grandchildren, Kelsey McAlister, Nicholas Long and Keely Long; three great-grandchildren, Brayden McAlister, Weston McAlister and Hallie Heil; and a nephew, Walley Long. He was predeceased by a brother, Jack Long; and a sister, Mary Gass. Graveside services will be private. A memorial service, with Military Honors, will be held at a later date.
