Obituary of MSG Roger Floyd Aiken

MSG Roger Floyd Aiken, U.S. Air Force, Ret., 69, husband of Alice Quinney Aiken for 19 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2021. MSG Aiken was born in Anderson, SC to the late Floyd Dean Aiken and Mary Kathryn Gailey Aiken. After his military service, he worked at and retired from Michelin. He also worked at Crown Management Group. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and Williamston Masonic Lodge #24. Roger was an avid Clemson fan and enjoyed watching wrestling. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved going to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Surviving are three daughters, Shannon Cape and husband Rodney, Andrea Kendall and husband Travis, and Melanie Jenkins; a brother, Rick Aiken; seven grandchildren, Logan Aiken, Landon Aiken, Jacob Kendall, Abby Kendall, Katrina Leitz, Kennedy McNeil, and Brian Sturdivant III; two great-grandchildren, Braelyn Leitz and Lyla Aiken; two uncles, J.B. Aiken and Joel Aiken; and an aunt, Sue Foster. He was predeceased by a sister, Denise A. Browning. A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be 3 pm Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Mark McCall, Sr. The family will receive friends prior to the service between 1-3 pm. Burial will be in Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
