Obituary of Wayne Douglas Bragg

Wayne Douglas Bragg passed away January 5th at Hospice House Of the Carolina Foothills due to complications of COPD. Wayne was born February 13, 1955 on Main Street at Dr. Stribling’s and Dr. Monroe’s office in Fountain Inn to the late William Pinckney Bragg and Sarah Louise Redden Bragg. He was married to Kathy Mahaffey Bragg on February 1, 1982 at the Greenville County Courthouse. Wayne graduated from Hillcrest High school and retired from Sealed Air in 2015 after 25 years of service. He is survived by wife Kathy; 3 sons, Michael Wayne Bragg and wife Janice Martin Bragg, Jeffrey Wayne Bragg and partner Jessica Fortner, and Matthew Douglas Bragg; 2 granddaughters, Sarah Michelle Bragg and Rebecca Grace Bragg; a great-grandson, Noah Vashawn Craig; a niece, Amy Louise Bragg and her children; and a nephew, John Bragg and his family. He was predeceased by two brothers, William Eugene Bragg and Bobby Joe Bragg; and an infant sister. He was known for his humor, kindness, and love of animals. Wayne will forever be remembered for his unwavering care of his paraplegic brother Bobby Joe until his death, and for his devotion to helping anyone who needed a hand in any way. He loved his family, Star Trek, dragons, drives in the country, vampires, history, feeding birds, westerns, fried cube steak with gravy and nanner puddin by God.
