Obituary of Phyllis Curry Willis

Phyllis Ann Curry Willis, 74, wife of Max Curry Willis for 54 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Mrs. Willis was born in Edens, SC to the late George Douglas Curry and Marian Janice Garrett Curry. She was a member of Green Pond United Methodist Church. Phyllis enjoyed horse racing, shopping, soap operas, and the beach. She loved music and was a huge Elvis fan. She collected flamingos and pineapple figurines. One of her greatest joys was being a Grammie to her girls. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Alecia Jarrett and husband Kenny; three granddaughters, Courtney Jefferson and husband Derek, Cami Carr and husband A.J., and Curry Jarrett; two great-granddaughters, Bryar Jefferson and Blair Jefferson; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Curry. She was predeceased by a brother, Watson Curry. Funeral services will be 2 o’clock Wednesday at Green Pond United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
