Rev. Wallace Lee King, 78, husband of the late Rebecca “Becky” Lucille Watts King, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
Rev. King was born in Toccoa, Ga to the late William Lee King and Maudie Mae Hoard King. He enjoyed fishing, going to auctions, and being “Papa” to his grands.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Rev. Lawrence and Nacole King, Carl and Ashley King, and Shawn and Chelcie King; a sister, Edith Owens; eight grandchildren, Josh King, Phillip King, Samuel King, Brooklyn King, Elizabeth King, Nathan King, Abigail King, and Natalie King; and a great-granddaughter, Ellie King. He was predeceased by six brothers, William King Jr., Earl King, Frank King, James King, Charles King (his twin brother), and Daniel King; and five sisters, Willie Mae Yarborough, Bobbie Gean Motes, Betty King, Sybil Montjoy and Mary Joyce Dietz.
A Celebration of Rev. King’s Life will be at 12 noon Saturday at Take Heart Church, 1330 Fork Shoals Road, Greenville, SC 29605. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
