Kathy Jeanette Mahaffey Bragg, 59, widow of Wayne Douglas Bragg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
Mrs. Bragg was born in Greenville to the late Charles Furman Mahaffey and Jimmie Lavaree Medlock Mahaffey. She worked many years at the Community Snack Bar. Kathy loved giraffes and bird photography. She was a fan of the Walking Dead series and her favorite movies were Some Kind of Wonderful and A Christmas Story. A cherished mother, grandmother, fur mama and friend, Kat was kind, compassionate, and caring. She enjoyed crafting, creating, and chatting with her many friends. An advocate for animals, she found pleasure in fundraising for the Animal Adventure Park in New York and helping local rescue groups.
Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey Bragg and wife Jessica, Matthew Bragg, and Michael Bragg and wife Janice; two sisters, Brenda Payne and Libby Hudson and husband Ray; two granddaughters, Sarah Bragg and Rebecca Bragg; and a great-grandson, Noah Craig. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Mahaffey; and a sister, Marilyn Phippen.
The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
