Jimmy Dyar “Jimmy D” Alexander, 79, joined his wife, Eva “Jane” Hudson Alexander and his Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Mr. Alexander was born in Salem, SC to the late Ernest Alexander and Mary Nancy Ann “Annie” Madden Alexander. He worked for General Electric for 28 years and was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church. “Jimmy D” was a 10 year Stage 4 Lung Cancer survivor, a man of strong faith and always had a smile on his face. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, going to the lake, traveling and working in his yard. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Pike and husband Wayne and Yvonne Waters and husband Fred; five grandchildren, Will Pike and wife Courtney, Zach Pike and wife Brittany, Byron Waters, Shannon Waters, and Matthew Waters; six great-grandchildren, Emma Pike, Layla Pike, Ella Pike, Landon Waters, Emerson Waters, and Colton Waters. He was predeceased by three brothers, Arthur Alexander, Ray Alexander and Jess Alexander; and three sisters, Inez Sanders, Viola Cater and Shirley Blackwell. Jimmy was the last surviving of his siblings. Graveside services will be held 12pm Monday in the mausoleum chapel at Graceland East Memorial Park.
