Mary Gibson Whitehead Williamson passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021.
She was born in Dunn, NC, the daughter of the late Henry Gibson and Sallye Pauline Bryant Whitehead. She was the granddaughter of the late John Wilson and Annie Glenn Gibson Whitehead of Dunn, NC and the late Joseph Kirksey and Mary Ann Teachey Bryant of Wallace, NC.
Mary graduated from the University of East Carolina in Greenville, NC. She received her Masters Degree from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. She taught Special Education in the Greenville County Public Schools for 30 years.
Mary is survived by her sister, Sallye Bryant Whitehead Krueger of Greer; two sons, James Harold Williamson III (Trey), and Henry Gibson Williamson (Hank); and four grandchildren, James Harold Williamson IV (Jack), Jenna Morgan, Julia Elizabeth Williamson, and Gavin Gibson Williamson.
Graveside services will be 3 o’clock Saturday at Greenville Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Mike Smith.
