Obituary of Alice Bryant Tucker

Alice Margaret Bryant Tucker, 101, widow of the late Melvin Tucker, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
Mrs. Tucker was born in Greenville to the late John Thomas Bryant and Nancy Mae Campbell Bryant. She retired from C&T Manufacturing and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Alice enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. A life-long worker, she spent many days farming cotton.
Surviving are two brothers, Billy Bryant and Harold Bryant; a sister, Nancy Bryant; seven grandchildren, David Cooley and wife Debbie, Doug Cooley, Susie Ortiz, Dwain Boyd, Rhonda Brooks, Tracy Thompson and husband Wesley, and Chris Tucker and wife Nicole; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda Bledsoe, Michael Cannady, Stephanie Elmore and husband Brandon, Devan Cooley, Harley Tucker, Kassie Tucker and Lucas Tucker; and a great-great-grandchild, Raelynn Elmore. She was predeceased by a son, Heyward Tucker; and a daughter, Linda Brewington.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
A Celebration of Alice’s Life will be 3 o’clock Monday at the funeral home, followed by burial in Cannon Memorial Park.
