Obituary of Charles Donald Clapsaddle

Charles Donald Clapsaddle Sr.,75, husband of Judy Murray Clapsaddle for 55 years, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 12, 2021. Mr. Clapsaddle was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Roy Alfred Clapsaddle and Jean Marie Kessel Clapsaddle. He retired as an assistant manager of the State Employee Credit Union of Maryland. After retirement, he and his family moved to South Carolina where they fell in love with the state and decided that they were forever South Carolinians. Charles always put his family before anything else, and instilled these values into his children and grandchildren. When asked what they all remember most about their father, they all said how honest and hardworking he was. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son Charles Clapsaddle, Jr. and wife Carole; a daughter Karen Burchett and husband John; a brother Roy Clapsaddle; a sister, Shirley Deemer; grandchildren, Matthew Clapsaddle, Melissa Clapsaddle, Mitchell Clapsaddle, Kendra Burchett, Kyra Burchett and Kori Burchett. He was predeceased by his sister Linda Huckabee. No services are planned at this time.
