Obituary of Billy Long

William David "Billy" Long, 55, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
Billy was born in Lynchburg, VA to the late James “Jim” Morgan Long Sr. and Aileen Leach Long. Billy enjoyed going on outings and music “sing-alongs”. He participated in the Special Olympics and was always excited to receive his metals.
He mostly loved books, hugs and spending time with his family. Billy was a loving soul that will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are two brothers, Thomas “Tommy” Long and wife Kathy and Steven “Steve” Long; two nieces, Kelsey McAlister and Keely Long; one nephew, Nicholas Long; two great-nephews, Brayden McAlister and Weston McAlister; and one great-niece, Hallie Heil.
A Celebration of Billy’s Life will be held in May. A private burial will be held at Cannon Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be made in honor of Billy to Thrive Upstate, 1700 Ridge Road Greenville, SC 29607.
