Alfred Edwin Dreifort, 101, husband of the late Leota Gerdon Dreifort, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 16, 2021. Mr. Dreifort was born in Cleveland Ohio to the late Alfred Emil Dreifort and Ethel Hyde Dreifrot. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Willoughby Hills Methodist Church. Al and Leota were the owner/operators of Euclid Lee Coin Laundry. He served as chairman of the Simpsonville Zoning Committee for many years. Surviving are a son John Dreifort and wife Carol; a daughter, Patricia D. Strimple and husband Stephen; four grandchildren, Todd Dreifort and wife Rhonda, Darren Dreifort and wife Krystal, Kim Dreifort-James and Fiancé Jason, and Adam Strimple; and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Jeffrey Dreifort and Lee Dreifort; and a sister, Jean Dewolf. Funeral services, with Military Honors, will be 2 o’clock Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. George Riser. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
