I met Dameion a few years ago. It was only just recently before meeting him that I had just lost my brother to an acute illness. As Dameion and I began to share life experiences, it was so obvious that God allowed us to come to a crossroad in life. First of all, I had met another “brother in Christ”. After more discussion, we found other common ground events. He had law enforcement experience and I had a military background. And to step back a bit in history, we had both circulated through some of the same boxing stables in Greenville with some of the same trainers and participants. We became very good friends. He introduced me to his wife Melissa. I was thankful to be a friend of the family. I considered myself blessed to know them. Dameion was a reliable and faithful friend. I will miss him greatly. He was a tried and true American. I respected his background as he did mine. I know I will see him again one day. We will walk streets of gold and talk once more. We will have an opportunity to see my brother once more. And more than that, we will have the opportunity to see the One Who Saved us by His Amazing Grace - Thank you Lord for your blessings on us. May God continue to comfort the Thames family and may His peace fill their home at this time.
