Ethel Carter Carland, 86, widow of Doug Carland, Sr., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Mrs. Carland was born in Asheville, NC to the late Guy Carter and Flora Dayton Carter. Ethel was the last surviving sibling.
Surviving are two sons, Doug Carland, Jr. with wife Susan, and Dane Carland; daughter, Denise Nash and husband Ted; seven grandchildren, Ashley Sealey with husband Dean, Jen Hopper with fiancé Christian, Melissa Abbott with husband Justin, Kristen Hopkins with husband Jason, Chris Carland, Stacy McGuffee with husband Phillip and Alexis Nash; six great-grandchildren, Trey Sealey, Doug Sealey, Anna Sealey, Lannie Abbott, Nash Abbott, and Brooks McGuffee. She was predeceased by three brothers; four sisters; daughter in-law, Janet Carland; two grandchildren, Shane Carland and Tiffany Nash.
The family will receive friends 5-7pm Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service, Fountain Inn, SC. A Celebration of Life will be 3pm Sunday at Harmony Church, Fountain Inn, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
