Obituary of Frances Elizabeth Terry Bolt

Frances Elizabeth Terry Bolt, 99, widow of John Lucius Bolt, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
Mrs. Bolt was born in Laurens, SC to the late John Furman Terry and Mary Frances Lynch Terry. Frances and Lucius lived in California for more than 40 years. They returned to South Carolina in 1989. Frances was a Women of War USO volunteer and civil servant volunteer during WWII. She retired as a dental assistant, and was a life member of the American Dental Association. She and her husband loved to travel the world. She also enjoyed attending Air Force Pilot reunions with Lucius, and continued to do so after his passing. Mostly, Frances loved visiting and spending time with her family.
Surviving are two brothers, Thomas Terry and Richard Terry; three sisters, Elise Martin, Nellie Brock, and Brenda Vaughn; thirty-three nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews, all of which Frances loved as her own. She was predeceased by a brother, Ned Terry; and six sisters, Rosie King, Margie Owenby, Mildred Renuwick, Dorothy Davis, Helen Brock, Sarah Jackson and Judy Patton.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Amedisys Hospice for the compassionate care given to Frances and her family. Also, to her primary caregiver Brenda, sisters, nieces, great-nieces, and family friend Frances Pace for the love and support given to Frances during her declining health.
A Celebration of Frances’ Life will be 11 o’clock Saturday, officiated by Rev. Forrest Mixon and Chaplin Robert Emory. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
