After a courageous four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer, Joyce Ann Wolfe Dodd was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior on May 29, 2021. She was born October 17,1951 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ronald C. and Helen J. Cujas Wolfe. An educator with the Greenville County School District for forty years, Joyce taught, inspired, and encouraged students in the areas of home economics and mathematics. She was a 2004 recipient of the prestigious Presidential Award for Teaching Excellence in Mathematics and Science. Mrs. Dodd worshiped at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mauldin. She served the Lord in ministries to youth and to women in prison. She was devoted to her husband of fifty years, Mark Dodd and twins, Erin (Cameron) Knight and Andrew (Kathleen) Dodd. Other survivors include honorary daughter, Sharon Kilgore; sister Karen (Joseph) Stoll, brother, Robert (Mary Jo) Wolfe and twin sister, Jan (John) Beaty; granddaughters Blakely Elizabeth Knight and Caylin Dodd Knight; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service for the celebration of Joyce’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m.at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1100 Log Shoals Road. Mauldin, SC 29662.
