Obituary of Faye Chapman Long

Rebecca Faye Chapman Long, 74, of Honea Path and widow of Frank Long, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 5, 2021. Mrs. Long was born in Princeton, SC to the late Charlie Chapman and Mary Lou Kirby Chapman. Faye retired after 30+ years from Michelin. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and the Eastern Star Organization. Faye enjoyed camping and traveling. Surviving are a son, Jonathan Mahon and wife Krystal; a daughter, Wendy Buzbee and husband Troy; a brother, Andy Chapman and wife Cindy; five grandchildren, Lexie Mahon, Evan Pettay, Hope Buzbee, Justin Mahon and Tristan Buzbee; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher Todd and Jasmine Todd. She was predeceased by her first husband, Roger “Coon Dog” Mahon. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral Service. Funeral services will be 2 o’clock Thursday at Columbia Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Mark Chapman and Rev. Greg Gambrell. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will be at their respected homes.
