Obituary of Thomas Mendez

Thomas Mendez, 45, fiancé of Maggie Shonitsky, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 11, 2021. Mr. Mendez was born in Los Angeles, CA. He was a collector of shoes and jerseys. Thomas loved his family and was a good friend to many. He was a wonderful story teller. He was an avid marine life enthusiast, and especially enjoyed fish, sharks and whales. Thomas was a self-described foodie and will forever be remembered for his catch phrase “you ain’t never pushed no scooter”. Surviving, in addition to his fiancé, are his parents, James and Colleen Crisp; two daughters, Ariya Mendez and Ariana Mendez; an expected son, Thomas James Mendez; two brothers and their wives, Michael and Beatriz Mendez, and Sean and Sarah Crisp; a sister, Melissa King and husband David; and several nieces and nephews, Sofia Mendez, Heaven King, Cerenity King, Teresa Mendez, Bailey Crisp, Kolten Crisp, River King, Andrew Mendez, Phoenix King, Jorden King, Michael Long, Thomas Long, Tyler Long and Travis Long, several Aunts , Uncles, cousins and Grandmother Donna Dixon. A Celebration of Thomas’ Life will be 6 o’clock Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by SFC Dennis Bragan, US Army. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
