Mr. Harling was “one of a kind!” He was a true gentleman in every way! Knowing him enriched our lives. We were fortunate to rent a home from him which gave us a chance to know and love his beautiful family and experience his “wit”. Heaven gained a true saint! H.E. & Dollie Tuttle

I met Mr. Harling about 1970 when he hired me to my first real job earning a paycheck! He hired me to be a part time soda jerk at the legendary Simpsonville Drug Co. It was a wonderful experience as I learned from how he treated people and me. He was a kind and impressive gentleman. I will never forget the life lessons I learned in that first job. My condolences to Randy and all of the family. We all can celebrate that Walker is now with the Lord.

I first got to know Mr. Harling on a mission trip to Mexico. What a fun and exciting man to be around. I remember him asking for pancakes one morning in the local restaurant. The ladies there said they didn’t have pancakes. The next morning they had pancakes and I think Mr. Harling ate about five. His love for the Lord was evident in everything he did. My thoughts and prayers are with the Harling family!!

Walker was one of the best people i have ever known. We had great times playing tennis. If he missed a shot his curse word would be "good night in the morning". He was a man of God and I thought the world of him. Heaven is brighter because Walker is now there. Phil Dyer
