Obituary of Sharon Head

Sharon June Moser Head, 74, wife of Maurice Edward “Moose” Head, Sr. for 40 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 7, 2023. Mrs. Head was born in Hickory, NC to the late Clarence Robert Moser and Geraldine Perry Moser. With her husband Moose, she co-owned and operated Maurice’s Café, H&M Auto Sales, and the Eagles Nest. Sharon loved music and shag-dancing. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and flying. She was a huge fan of sports, especially NASCAR, USC Gamecocks and UNC Tarheels football, and all teams that played in the ACC. She collected lighthouses, spoons and seashells. Everyone who knew Sharon could bear witness to her love of talking and her need to be in control. Her tenacity will be missed by family and friends alike. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Dawn Jenkins, Michelle Sabatelli, and Malynda Salas; a son, Maurice “Reece” Head, Jr.; a brother, Robert Moser with wife Sharon; eight grandchildren, Andrew Lowry with wife Victoria, Taylor Jenkins, Ciairra Williams, Jordan Jenkins (whom Sharon affectionately referred to as “Partner”), Jeremy Williams, Morgan Tucker with husband Corey, Sydney Pace, and Jacob Head; 13 great-grandchildren; and her beloved cats “Boot” and “Scoots”. She was predeceased by a brother, Billy Moser. A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held at a later date.
