I can’t believe my sweet friend has gone to be with the Lord! I had not heard from anyone that she had passed. I was her caregiver for a while when she still lived on the Church of God Campground. At a very difficult time in my own life, she helped me find my joy again! After years of inward depression, Mrs Jean helped me find my laughter again! I love her so much and I can’t wait to see her again in Heaven!

We extend our deepest sympathy to Pastor Furman and family. We were at Palmetto Street COG when they pastored there. Sister Bryant was a loving lady who had a big warm smile that endeared her to the hearts of those she met. What a wonderful life of love and service she has to present to the Lord. She made the kingdom and world a better place.

Sis. Bryant was a true gift from God. When I was at the lowest point in my life, she wrapped her arms around me and taught me that there was still love in the world. She loved me as if I was her child and I am forever grateful to her for that. She truly showed me the love of Christ. Sis Bryant please give Bro Furman a hug for me! You finally made it home! Jean and Furman were our first pastors in South Carolina. They pastored the North Charleston Church of God, and absolutely spoiled our children rotten. We later had the privilege of pastoring on the same district after I left the Navy, and our love for them only deepened. People through the years have mistakenly said that Furman and Jean never had any children, but something tells me that giggling gaggle of loved on babies we'll be hearing when we get to heaven may just be her proving them wrong. Heaven's just a little sweeter....
