I never imagined I have to write this word but today my heart is heavier than it has ever been. I’ve lost my son Shawn Patterson and the pain is something no parent should ever have to bear. The only thing that brings comfort is knowing you are with angels. I love you, son. Dad

Shawn, I’ll never forget knocking on your door on N. Maple and getting to know and love you and Janet over these last 20 years! You always added so much love and light and laughter everywhere we went. Thank you for taking such great care of Janet. I can’t wait to see you again in Heaven! Well brother, this is your sister. You left way too early but just want you to know you’re very loved. We miss your laughter. I am at a loss for words. I will always remember Shawn's sense of humor, his mre's and glow sticks. His love of family and of you, Janet was immeasurable. His love for the military and of country was amazing. He was a true patriot and served this country well. He was Uncle Shawn to my kids and they loved to tell people about him. We may not understand the why's right now but God's plan is always perfect and He does know best. You, my dearest friend, are in my prayers and know that I'm just a call away and you are loved.
