Deborah Mesmer Obituary

Deborah “Debbie” A. Mesmer, born on February 7, 1964, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and zest for life touched everyone who knew her.

Debbie is survived by her devoted husband, Timothy Mesmer, her son, John (Victoria) Olszewski and her cherished grandchildren, Joshua Garton and Avery Olszewski. She also leaves behind her sister, Shari (Russell) Reed, her step-sisters Desaree Chalanick and Tara Rainey, her father, Frank (Barbara) Pawlak, and in-laws David (Donna) Mesmer. Debbie was predeceased by her sister, Cindy Iorfida, and their mother Anita Stevens, but carried their memory close to her heart. She was also a beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many, who will forever cherish her memory.

Professionally, Debbie started her career at the Niagara Falls Water Department before becoming a prominent and respected business owner. Her dedication and strong work ethic earned her admiration from colleagues and clients alike. Outside of her professional life, Debbie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had a passion for traveling, scenic hiking, holidays, playing games and crafting with loved ones, and unwinding with a good reality TV show.

Debbie’s warmth, humor, and love of life will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy will remain a testament to a life well-lived and deeply loved.

A service to celebrate Debbie’s life will be held 4pm Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital at www.stjudes.org
