Obituary of Robert Dean Edwards

Robert Dean Edwards, 68, joined his Savior in glory on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Bob was born May 22, 1950, to Harold and Thelma (Kellogg) Edwards in Burlington, Vermont. Bob lived the majority of his life in Shelburne, Vermont, as well as in Phoenix, Arizona, and Greenville, South Carolina.

Bob was predeceased by his mother Thelma May (Kellogg) Edwards, his father Harold Roland Edwards, and his step-father Charles Henry Weisenbach. He leaves behind his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He also leaves behind his beloved step-son, Timmy Dufrane.

Bob counted it a privilege to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Based on the Bible Bob had total assurance he would spend eternity in heaven. Bob lived a life of witnessing to others about the goodness of God. Bob’s love for others was evident in his vigilance in prayer and his phone calling ministry in which he regularly called over 500 people each year on their birthdays and anniversaries.

Bob enjoyed being active and loved the great outdoors. He has a vast collection of wildlife photographs that he spent years taking. He was an avid hiker, kayaker, and biker.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 906 Hwy 14, Simpsonville, SC at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 29.
