Obituary of Michael Keith Cogsdale

Michael Keith Cogsdale, 58, of Gray Court, met his Savior face to face on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Born in Orlando, FL on May 27, 1960, he was the son of the late Aaron Bland Cogsdale and Barbara Ann Bledsoe and the husband of Stephanie Lee Pulliam Cogsdale. Michael was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Laurens, SC, and he loved nothing more than to worship and fellowship with his “church people”. He was an avid Florida Gators fan and a self-proclaimed meteorologist. He loved to travel and take cruises, and eventually turned his passion for adventure and exploration into a career as a travel agent. Michael spent his free time golfing, clog dancing, singing karaoke, and traveling with his children to and from their marching band competitions. He enjoyed bonfires, loved animals, and will forever be remembered as a man who served God and people.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his sons, Matthew Cogsdale (Stefani) and Austin Lamp and his fiancé, Laura; daughters, Carrie Romano (Fulvio), Erin Bunner (John), Heather Faulkner (Bryson), and Lexi Cogsdale and her fiancé, Joe; grandchildren, Ella Bunner, Nolan Bunner, Josephine Romano, Nadia Romano, and Rhett Cogsdale; his mother-in-law, Sandra Pulliam; his first wife, Cynthia Gentry-Mickelson and her parents, Dan and Carol Gentry; as well as numerous other family and friends from Florida and South Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Cogsdale.

Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Saturday, February 9^th at Northside Baptist Church, Laurens, with Rev. Ronnie Blackwell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service, beginning at 2pm. Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 818 Northside Church Road, Laurens, SC 29360.

 Michael loved the casual atmosphere at church, so the family has requested that snappy casual attire be worn at the services.
