Sister Golden and Family, I am saddened to hear about Brother Ike’s transition. It is a bridge that we all must cross and we know that if we accept the salvation given to us by the sacrifice of our Lord and savior, we know that it’s better on the other side. It’s still a tough thing for loved ones to accept, but you have precious memories of the love and support you shared with brother Ike. Ike pledged on the Kappa line following mine at A&T and we developed a kinship and brotherhood that exceeds that of a fraternal structure. He was a jovial individual and a big teddy bear. He will be missed, but never forgotten! RIP Brother.

Golden Family I was saddened to .hear of Ike's passing. We went to Northwest and Reading High together. We were teammates in basketball and football. Tiny as he was called by some coaches was a great friend. Ike used to pick me up in his old green Pontiac and drove me to school one year. I paid him a dollar a week. (1966) He was always smiling, joking, and just a joy to be around. I will always remember how he loved life and I'm sure he was a great example for his family. RIP My Friend

I first met Isaiah in Kindergarden at Schuylkill Ave Grade school. We became instant friends all through our schooling. I was a very tiny kid and he was a gentile giant that always had my back. He was loved and will dearly be missed. Rest in peace old friend and may got bless and keep you.

I met Ike in Kindergarten. We were in the same class from then through High School. We also spent a lot of time at the Olivet Boys Club. When Ike went to college, I went in the Army. Whenever I hear the term "Gentile Giant" I immediately think of Ike. RIP

Ike, it has been a long journey that has come to an end. I am going to miss your smile, your wisdom and your funny sense of humor. You were a good friend, one who looked out for others, consoled the hurting with the word of God, a true man of God who served him with all of your heart and was always number one on the top ten best dressed list.
I know that God smiled when you entered the gates and Jesus gave you a standing ovation when He said well done my good and faithful servant.
So my dear friend you have entered into his rest the place that we here on earth long for our eternal HOME! I know you haven’t sat down since you been there and that smile is bigger than it has ever been, so bask in the light of the Son of God Jesus Christ...you are home now.
A friend always
Deb

I met Rev. Golden through a prison ministry and transitional program in a collaboration with New Beginnings Church and the South Carolina Department of Corrections. He was a faithful member of our team helping ex-felons find their way in life after incarceration. He witnessed openly and was a wonderful example of a Christlike example. In years past, he would sometimes come to Tyger River Correctional Institution
For a class or graduation ceremony. The men immediately noticed his stature , but after speaking with him found out his heart and faith was bigger than his physical size.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. We out a doubt we all know he earned his place in heaven. May wonderful memories act as a cushion during these difficult days. My prayers are with you.

To all of the Golden family, I never knew Ike growing up even though he was only a few blocks away from me in Reading,Pa., but he was the coolest guy I had the pleasure of helping out and taking care of while he was on Halcyon Hospice.
He just couldn’t wait for me to get there to shave that head of his, and God forbid if I missed a hair.
He was funny, and always talked about the Lord which made me feel great during a visit.
He loved his wife and kids very much along with all his family. Ike you will be missed by many but we will all see you again one day.
Go Red Knight and Rest In Peace!

Ike and Peaches are our neighbors, He brought me back to Christ and I will forever be in his debt. We loved each other and shared the word of God together. He was a spiritual man and his honesty and kindness was admired by my family. I know Ike is sitting with God and the lord is pleased. He’s so much more than a friend and we will miss him.

What a loving man, a charismatic personality, and kind soul Ike was. He was truly a gentle giant. He loved to laugh, he loved to dance, and he loved his beautiful wife and their life together.

Dear family members and friends of Ike Golden .
I am honored and blessed to have known Reverend Dr. Isaiah “ Ike “ Golden Junior.
He was truly A blessing and inspiration in my life.
So much so, I considered him as my big
“ brother from another mother “
as My proverbial big brother . Whether it was working on “ the truck“ along with his father and brother Larry, or while taking notes on the Reading High basketball court , where he played as a senior and I played on the freshman team during scrimmages .
I am truly saddened by your loss. Ike will be missed and will never be forgotten. Please except my condolences and may my prayers help comfort you. On a personal note, to my dear friend Vanessa :
“ Despite The loss of the “ physical “ presence of your father, we know that God has assigned him to watch over you “ throughout your life “ “ .
I can’t imagine what you must be feeling right now, but I want you to know that I am just a phone call away. My heartfelt condolences to you and the family. May the soul of your father be at peace with our Heavenly Father .
